Hello,
I'm getting this error when I start Quick access popup. It was running ok previously. I'm using installed version. I'm using latest version of quick access popup on windows 10 64-bit.
See attached screenshot for the error. Why this error happened and how to fix it permanently? Please let me know as soon as possible.
I (1) reinstalled and (2) uninstalled and reinstalled as well, but the issue still remains.

Hi,
Normally the setup program installs the file JLicons.dll in the folder C:\ProgramData\JeanLalonde\. Check if the file is there. If not, there must be some reason, maybe a security restriction?
If you want to add the file manually, you will find it in the portable version zip file.

I checked and the file is there. Furthermore, I installed the portable app and it gave me the same error. The changes I made were: I updated to 10.5.6 and Windows installed some updates. That's it. No matter what I do (reinstall, uninstall/install, use portable version), the error won't go away.
So, not sure why this is not working and with this error QuickAccessPopup is unusable, it's non-functional at this time for me.
Question: How can I import the settings from installed version to portable version for the .ini file? -

Make sure this is the most recent file v1.6.1. Right-click on the file and check the version number under the Details tab. If you have an old file (I could not explain why because normally it should be updated when you updated QAP), you can get the most recent in the portable zip file.

Yes, it is 1.6.1.0. Something is wrong with the app. The app starts, but with the gray tray icon and after some time when I right click on the tray icon the menu is all blank. -

No worries. I have one more question.
Sometimes, when I hover over a link in the popup menu the link expands to show folder contents, but the expanded window covers the main popup menu. How can I go back to main popup menu? Right now I press escape key, but it closes quick access popup entirely and I have to call up the popup menu again. Is there a keyboard key I can press to close the expanded popup menu so I can go back to the parent menu? Better yet, is there a keyboard key I can keep pressing to go back up one level at a time until I reach the main popup menu? Thanks. -

QAP builds a "standard" Windows menu that behaves as do every other Windows menus. Usually, you move your your mouse elsewhere (outside of the submenu) in the menu and the submenu will close as soon as you hover another submenu.
I you opened the main menu with the keyboard hotkey (Win+W), you can use the up/down arrows to browse menus, right arrow to enter a submenu and left arrow to return to the previous menu.
