I don't understand the explanation and realisation of the QAP feature
Dynamic Menus / Favorites in Customize Window
It was described to realize in some way to search for an favorite and excute it.
Its not possible to search anything having this function as entry in the PopUp menu !
So the request for an PopUp to search and execute a favorite is not possible with this
as the search field is only available from inside of the customize screen.

It does that but, at this time, you need to open the Customize window to do the search. Then, the "eye" popup menu allows to execute one of the found items, what was not possible before.

Agree. But this allows to assign a hotkey to this menu and have it open to launch one the the found items without having to use the mouse to click the "Eye" menu.

It is true that you cannot search from the popup menu itself. This remains a wishlist item. This is why I moved back the item to the wished list:
