This has not be implemented as described above but it is doing somehow what was desired.
The "eye" icon on the left side of the "Customize" window shows a popup menu with the favorites displayed in the "Customize" window, including when it contains a search result. In search results, duplicate menu names are appended with the "[!]" suffix to make them unique.

This popup menu can also be added to the QAP menu: in the "Add QAP Feature" list, in the "Dynamic Menus" section, add the feature "Favorites in Customize window". Ths allows to assign a shortcut to this popup menu. -

Use existing QAP Menu entries as keywords launching the configured application, website, folder or document. -

This feature now simply named "Quick Launch" is now available in v11.6.
