  hello,
  
  QAP version 10.4.2 / installer
  windows 10, windows explorer
  
  i always check the option 'contextual menu activation' off.
  
  but anytime i update QAP the contextual menus return ( but the option is still off )

  I could not reproduce this issue. Here are the steps I did. Could you check if it happens for you as described here:
  
  

  1. Turn the option off in "Options", "Popup Menu" tab
     
  2. Save options
     
  3. This prompt the Windows security window where I click Yes
     
  4. Check that the QAP menu item is removed from Explorer context menu
     
  5. Quit QAP before re-installing
     
  6. Re-install QAP (re-install the current version)
     
  7. Check that there is no QAP menu item in the Explorer context menu.
     

  Take attention to steps 3, 4 and 5.

  ok,
  i did all the step. All are ok, but at 7/ there's a QAP context menu, like in my first screenshot.

  Hum... When you update QAP, the installer check in the QAP ini file:
  
  C:\Users\YOUR_NAME\AppData\Roaming\Quick Access Popup\QuickAccessPopup.ini
  
  for the value:
  
  

  Code:

  [Global]
...
ExplorerContextMenus=0
...

  
  If the context menu option is disabled, this value is 0 and this prevent the installer from enabling the context menu when you update or re-install QAP. You could check if this value is correctly turned to 0 when you disable the context menu option. If not, there would be an issue with the ini file location or something like this.
  
  I hope we can find what is the cause of this unexpected behaviour on your system. But if we don't, I would recommend to re-install QAP in portable mode (download the QAP ZIP file instead of the setup program). In portable mode, the context menu is enabled only if you run yourself the batch file included in the ZIP file.  Please read this page about switching from Setup to Portable.

  Thinking about this, I realize that a change in v10 regarding the quickaccesspopup.ini file location was not reflected in the setup program script. This would explain your issue.
  
  Could you confirm what is the location of your "Settings Folder" in "Options", "General" section?

  Thanks Fred for confirming this. I updated the installer. It is now online at https://www.QuickAccessPopup.com. I did not change the version number since the application itself was not changed.

  Hi Jean,
  
  First, this lifetime licensee says merci beaucoup for QAP! I've been using it since May, and it's made my computer use so much easier.
  
  I found this thread after not being able to remove the context menus. I'm on version 11.0.7.1. My QuickAccessPopup.ini is in C:\Users\xxx\Documents\Quick Access Popup\QuickAccessPopup.ini and ExplorerContextMenus=0.
