  I have created a few apps out of Microsoft Edge (via Settings => Apps => Install this site as an app). They look and feel similar to a Windows 10 App and can for instance be pinned to Start or the taskbar.
  
  Now I want to include them in QAP. However I don't find them under Windows App when I want to add them.
  
  Any idea how these apps are technically managed and how one can find them to have them included in QAP?

  Interesting. i did not know this Edge feature (I don't use Edge regularly). I tried to add an app the way you describe but the "Settings, Apps" submenu is not available in my installation of Edge (Windows 10 v1809/17763, Microsoft Edge 44.17763.1.0 / Microsoft EdgeHTML 18.17763). I checked and the feature is enabled in Settings, Advanced. I'll check this on another system.

  Ugrade to the lastest version 80.0.361.62 (Official build) (64-bit). I guess yours is not on Chromium yet and might not provide this feature.

  Done. I tested it. QAP cannot retrieve this type of Windows Apps from the "Windows App" list. The app not added when you add a favorite of type "Windows App" and click "Refresh list".
  
  However, you can add it by importing the Windows Shortcut created by Edge. For example, I created an app for the QAP website and could import it using the "Import Shortcut to QAP" in the app's shortcut context menu.
  
  
  
  For my curiosity, what advantage do you see opening websites as Windows Apps?

  I also tested this new Edge feature and I don't like it at all.
  Web sites opened this way miss any of the installed browser extensions and most browser settings.
  I don't see any advantage compared to making normal browser shotcuts with the web site as parameter.
