Of course, if you created these favorites yourselves, you selected the type when you created the item. Some location can work with different types. For example, a Doc favorite with location "Notepad.exe" will work. But this would be more logic to create it as an App favorite
For favorites created using the context menus "Add File to QAP menu" or "Import Shortcut to QAP menu", or the drag-and-drop to Customize window, for example, the type is determined by one of these methods:
- if the location is known by QAP as a Special Folder -> Special
- else if the file extension is .exe, .com, .bat, .ahk, .vbs. and .cmd -> App
- else if the file attribute contains "D" -> Doc
- else Folder
