  I've just started using QAP and it's a great tool. I have one issue to do with OneDrive. OneDrive doesn't like that the QAP_Frequent.DB file is in use and gives me a sync error message. Is there any way to avoid this message? Sorry if a very basic question! I attached a screenshot of the message. Thanks!

  About sync issues, you should also read this: On two PCs with a cloud drive (like Dropbox), can I save my QAP settings on this cloud drive?

  Thank you Jean. I solved the problem by moving the AQP DB settings folder to a different C drive folder outside OneDrive and I used Google Drive as the backup location for the settings. Does that sound like a good solution? I've attached the screenshot originally not attached. Thank you for the tip!

  Is there a full guide on how to make the portable edition usable across machines...?
  
  One useful trick I learned is to make a "shared menu" and used Environment Variables to direct configurations. For example:
  %OneDriveConsumer%\Backup\Apps\QuickAccessPopup\Backup\%ComputerName%
  
  Another is that not to exit all your QAP on your machines at the same time (otherwise there will be conflicts as it writes to the same INI file).
  
  This gives the benefit of not having to change configurations repeatedly across machines.
  
  It would be nice if we can have a "machine-specific" QAP_Frequent configuration that can be specified similar to the backup location using Environment Variables.

  The issue is not only with the Frequent database. Having the settings folder on a cloud drive is not recommended also because of the quickaccesspopup.ini file sync issues described here (not only when closing QAP simultaneously as you mentioned but also if you have unsaved changes in more than one file).

  I also have QAP (and other software) on a OneDrive synched folder. Such sync issue messages (see @ForzaAndy 's screenshot) due to the fact that those files are "open/in use" are not a problem - you can just ignore them. Once you shutdown your computer OneDrive will still sync those small files -> this works completely automatically and only causes the shutdown to take a few seconds longer. Never had an issue with this.

  Yes it can be ignored if you are using the installation in one computer at a time. If you are using this portable OneDrive installation of QAP on multiple machines, and those machines are online at the same time, there will be file conflicts, specifically the ini and the frequent access DB, as it tries to over-write each other's files, especially upon exit.
  
  I think the solution to this would be to allow a configuration to specify a different directory for anything that may be being written to while the program is in use (like this frequently access DB) so that machine file conflicts can be avoided and the portable installation can be used simultaneously on multiple machines.

  Ok, thanks for the clarification - I only use OneDrive for backup purposes and not for sharing my QAP installation with other users/machines.
