Currently, there are 10 recent folders listed in the "Recent Folders" section. Is it possible to set more than 10? Say, 20?

Yes. This is in "Options", "Menu Appearance" section. Take a minute to browse the other "Options" section. You will probably find other ways to make QAP work the way you prefer.
