  When I create an app and paste in the path, the following little annoying behavior obliterates mandatory text that I have already entered.

  QAP version is 10.2 (64 bit)

  The feature that causes that is that, each time there is a change in the "Application path" text box, the "Short name" textbox is automatically updated with the name of the folder/file. This is not an issue when you select the application (or folder/document) using the "Browse" button. But I agree this is an annoyance when you type or paste the location manually. There is no way for QAP to distinguish when you are typing in the text box and when its content change after using the Browse button. I hope I'm clear enough.
  
  I'll see if I can find a solution to this but, personally, I took the habit of filling the location before entering the name.

  Perhaps if the Short Name already has a value leave it alone? Or perhaps a change in field/tab order?
  
  Probably not a big thing, since once everything is set up, I tend to stay out of config.

  Then, if you change the location using the Browse button, the name is not updated with the new filename. But this could be a solution.
