  This thread is for users of third party file managers using QAPconnect.ini to make QAP work with their file manager. 
  
  QAP is built to work with Windows Explorer and file dialog boxes (Save As, Open, etc.). It also supports two third party file managers: Total Commander and Directory Opus.
  
  In addition, thanks to the QAPconnect.ini settings file, it can also work with more than 20 other popular file managers. You can find the file QAPconnect.ini in the QAP's Settings Folder. You will need to make sure the settings in this file for your file manager are correct for your environment. You will find more information on this in the page How do I setup QAPconnect for another file manager?
  
  Thank you to Roland Toth who, a few years ago, put together examples of configurations for all these file managers. I could not personally support all these file managers. But if you find new file managers who can be added to QAPconnect.ini or changes required for newer version of these software, please, put this here and I'll update the QAPconnect master file.

  Nope, I checked and just double-checked that.

  One thing I notice happening is that I select IrfanView (any other option results in a "not found" error) in the drop down list, then hit save. Then if I go to options:File Managers again, the Application selection is blank. I don't know if that's expected behavior or not.

  I could not check that because I do not have IrfanView on my system. I do not support all file managers in the QAPconnect.ini file. This file was initially built by a user and is given to other users as a model (with instructions here on how to make it work on your system). Users can share new settings or flag/debug non-working settings, then I can share this by adding/removing these settings to the QAPconnect file.
  
  This being said, I checked the QAPconnect process with another file manager and I had no problem selecting a file manager and using it.

• Filemanager issue

  I just tried to select another filemanager, located to my OneDrive folder (portable version of XYplorer). I edited qapconnect.ini like this :

  Selecting XYplorer Test in the options has no problem. Saving, closing
  Trying to open a favorite folder causes the application t crash with this error :
  
  Specifically: the system can not find the file specified
  
  See atached screenshot
  
  I tried to use NerverQuotes in the ini file but the issue remains.
  
  What could cause such issue ?

  In this case, QAP is trying to run this command:
  C:\Users\MyUser\OneDrive - Company A S\Utils\XYplorer\XYplorer.exe C:\YourFolder
  
  Try entering this in the Windows Run box (Win + R). There could be something wrong with AppPath or some switch missing in Commandline. See for xplorer2 lite, there is the switch /A used before the path. This could make a difference.
  
  As I wrote earlier, I could not personally support all these file managers. But if you find changes required, let me know and I'll update the QAPconnect master file.

  One thing I did not remember and is not in the doc: you have to restart QAP after changing settings in QAPconnect.ini. Saving the ini file is not enough.
  
  I could improve this in a future release but for now QAP must be restarted.

  After further research, I found a bug when QAP saves the File Managers options. The QAPconnect data was not correctly updated. This is why a restart is necessary in v10.2 (and previous v10 releases). This will not be required anymore after the next release.
