  Hi everyone,
  I'm wondering if it's possible for QAP to activate an already open window or instance of a file instead of launching a new one every time.
  Some applications I use, such as Notepad-like editors, allow multiple instances with several documents open simultaneously. After a while, these windows end up spread across the screen and it becomes difficult to identify them quickly since they look almost identical in the Alt-Tab or taskbar previews.
  What I would prefer is to open these files directly from their saved entry in QAP. If the file is already open, QAP would simply bring that existing window to the front. If it isn't open yet, then it should start normally with the associated application.
  Is there a way to make QAP behave like this?

  No, there is no option allowing this. As I said in another thread about this question, the option exists for Application favorites ("If this application is already running, activate...") but not for documents. Maybe opening the documents using an Application favorite with the document path in the Parameters field could allow you to use the "activate" option the this window but this is a big "maybe".
  
  Please, let us know if you give this approach a try. If it does not work, this could be added to the wishlist but I expect this feature to be unreliable in many applications (especially in MS Office applications).
