That's true. Thanks for reporting. I'll work on it.

In the mean time, selecting any Syntax highlighting in the toolbar drop down menu will make the display dark. You can then reselect "No highlighting" and the display will stay dark.

Thanks for the tip, Jean! It worked!
Please note that the line numbering in 'No highlighting' mode is barely visible again. In the other modes the numbering is visible.

Dark mode support has been fixed and improved in beta release v2.9.6.1. Please let me know if you find anything. Thanks.
