Hello,
In another thread, I asked about QAP having support for shortcut items:
https://forum.quickaccesspopup.com/showt...p?tid=2686
I would like to make that a wish-list suggestion.
In addition to allowing me to do what I originally asked, it could serve a more broadly applicable functionality.
A lot of programs that we use on a day to day basis are very complicated. Think something like Photoshop, Blender, Pro Tools, etc.
If QAP allowed shortcuts as items, then we could create lists of shortcuts for those types of apps. So, for example, I could have a Photoshop menu that would contain a bunch of shortcuts that would be applicable to my Photoshop workflow. I wouldn't have to remember the shortcut keys for Photoshop, and I could give the shortcut a name that suits me.
Those professional applications that have lots of shortcuts, many of which are not even located under menus; the user has to remember them. QAP could allow us to make our own explicit list of then, so we don't have to remember them.
This would also be very useful when initially learning an app like that: when we learn a new concept, which has an associated shortcut, we can put it on our list, so that we don't forget it.
If you do decide that this is worthwhile to add, I'd like a shortcut to consist to 3 things:
1) The name of the shortcut
2) The keys to press
3) A note for describing what the shortcut does. Bonus points if hovering over the shortcut would display the note in an overlay.
Thank you, and I hope you consider this.
