Lister icons fail to appear when live folder expanded
Lister icons fail to appear when live folder expanded

I have created a Live folder that expands to show several listers I created using Directory Opus. Despite not electing to hide icons in settings of Live folder, icons DO NOT appear for my listers (.dcf files).

Maybe DOpus did not register this document type .dcf properly in the icons Windows configuration. A workaround is to add it yourself in "Options, Menu Icons"
Enter (adapt it if DOPus is installed in another folder):
dcf=C:\Program Files\GPSoftware\Directory Opus\dopusrt.exe,1

Dcf icons show up OK elsewhere in Windows 11 and within Dopus. It appears it is QAP that has not registered the dcf file type, not Windows. I will try you suggestion though - thanks.

QAP does not register icons (iexcept its own icons). It is the application creating the documents (DOpus in this case) that registers the icons for its document.
QAP is reading the icons registered by the applications. Icons are registered in the registry (RegEdit) section HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT. I checked in my config for .dcf and there is no icon registered for this. If you consider this important enough, you could report the issue to DOpus forum.

Thanks for that. I have used your suggestion to get the dcf file icons showing. Very clever! Thanks. As far as reporting to the forum, I thought this was the forum.
