Solutions to avoid these "too long menus" with Live Folders are:
- use filters to include or exclude file types (by their extensions or using wildcards)
- reduce the size of icons in this menu
These options are under the "Live Folder Options".
For regular menus (but not Live Folders), you can reduce the height of the menu using column breaks to split your menu in more than one column.
