  I have done my first steps with the very powerful QAP Shared Menu feature.
  Successfully added a Personal Shared Menu (MenuType=1) pointing to a personal settings file (.ini).
  As I am still in the test phase I need to frequently 'refresh' any changes I made to my personal settings file.
  However, the 'Tools > Refresh Live Folders and Shared menus' does not do the job.
  Only after closing and restarting QAP I can see the changes made to my .ini file.
  
  Btw, what I am about to implement is a feature still on the QAP wish list.
  My personal settings file will contain my current Edge Bookmarks as QAP favorites.
  Target is that the 'QAP Quick Launch' search can offer my Edge Bookmarks as well.

  This is not a bug. If you edit a shared menu file manually, you must also edit the "LastModified" value under "[Global]" and change it for any value greater that the current value. You could just add 1 to this value and then QAP will detect that this file needs to be refreshed your you execute "Refresh Live Folders and Shared menus".

  I tried your suggestions above but the refresh still does not work.
  
  Here some more details what I do.
  
  

  • I have a portable installation
    
    
  • My SharedEdgeBookmarks.ini is placed in the portable QAP folder (together with QuickAccessPopup.ini)
    
    
  • My own application collects all my Edge bookmarks and adds "Menu" entries (= Bookmark subfolders) and "URL" entries (bookmarked websites) to my SharedEdgeBookmarks.ini file. It also updates the [Global] "LastModified=" entry.
    
    
  • Then I go into QAP > Tools > Refresh Live Folders and Shared Menus
    
    
  • But my Shared Menu in QAP does not update (it does after closing and restarting).
    

  This is my [Global] section (do I miss something?)

  It should work. I tested it again on my system. I don't know what can explain why it does not on your system.
