I' m using a Swiss keyboard, layout see here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/QWERTZ#/me..._Swiss.svg
Problem:This leads me to two suggestions (or maybe I did something completely wrong, user error?):
- I would like to use e.g. CTRL+"<" as hotkey: nice+quick combination in the left bottom corner of the keyboard
- Using Folders Popup it was possible to press the "<" key and it would accept and display this as a hotkey
- With QAP 11.6.1.5 this is not possible: pressing "<" in a hotkey definition dialog box does not work
- Of course I found a workaround using "manual input": Entering "^SC056" enables CTRL-"<" working fine
One additional bonus question / suggestion:
- Why not re-enable the user pressing the "<" key in the hotkey dialog box?
- One more thing: With the "^SC056" workaround, they hotkey is displayed as "CTRL+SC056" in my popup menu. It should be displayed as "CTRL+<" just as Folders Popup did in the past because this scancode number is not really compatible with humans
Thanks for consideration and greetings to Canada, the land of bears, salmon and honestly the friendliest progressive people in the world I ever met!
- QAP's hotkey definition dialog box is missing the "AltGr" key, a very common key in central Europe, see also the Swiss layout picture above, the blue key right next to the space bar
- The official Autohotkey shortcut for AltGr is "<^>!", see here: https://www.autohotkey.com/docs/v2/Hotkeys.htm#AltGr
- Why not implement this quite important key in QAP or you could at least make a note in the dialog box: "For AltGr combinations please use "<^>!" as manual input."; otherwise users might think it's not even possible at all, but of course it is :-)

Example: AltGr-M should open my QAP-menu but CTRL-ALT-M should still work for other purposes.

It is not a QAP limitation. QAP is using an AHK control for hotkey settings (see Gui, Add, Hotkey). This would be a question (probably already asked) for the AHK forum.
