  Hi,
  
  On my old computer I used to have a lot Folder- und Filelinks (local and network files and folders) in QAP, mostly sorted thematically within separate QAP-Folders
  
  I recently got a new machine and want to transfer parts of my QAP-favorite folders/files from my old machine to my new machine.
  
  What I did:
  * Made a clean install of QAP on my new machine 
  * Added a few entries to new QAP
  * Took "QuickAccessPopup.ini" from my old machine
  * Copied the desired entries from old QAP-Ini (Entries "FavoriteXXXX= ....." - Within QAP-ini I located a QAP-Folder with all its contents and copied all entries)
  * Inserted the copied entries in QAP-ini on new machine
    * Exited QAP on new machine
    * Opened QAP-ini in Editor
    * Inserted copied entries at the end of section [Favorites]
    * Adapted the XXXX in entries " FavoriteXXX=....." to have ongoing numbers within favorite list
    * Saved the modified list ...
  * Restarted QAP on new machine
  
  ... but the new entries do not show in QAP menu :-(
  
  Therefore the question: whats the correct way to transfer parts of my favorites from one QAP installation to another installation on a different machine?
  
  Any help welcome

  The structure of the [Favorites] section of ini file must follow a precise structure. Especially, each submenu must be closed by one "Z" entry. And if you have multiple embeded submenus, you may have consecutive "Z" to close each submenu level.
  
  But there is a much easier way to transfer your favorites, using "Favorites, Add Multiple Favorites". Select the a hierarchical tree view with "QAP Settings File (tree view)".
  
  Also, if you have changes in your directory structure, you can use the "Tools, Search and replace" command described here:

  thank you! Haven't seen the "Favorites, Add Multiple Favorites" yet ...
  
  QAP has simply every option and feature an user needs - I am using it for a couple of years now ... but haven't digged through all features you've implemented. Great piece of software!

  Sorry, a little bit late to the party....
  
  You can also put all your favorites into one or more shared menus (even if you use QAP on only one PC).
  When switching to a new/another PC, just add the shared menus back in QAP.
