I try to imaging how this would work. Normally, if you select a folder in the QAP menu when you are in a file open dialog box, QAP enters the path of this folder in the text field of the dialog box and clicks the "Open" button for you. This refresh the file list in the dialog box. And normally, if you select anything other that a folder in a file open dialog box, it simply launches the favorite (document, link, etc.). Now, how would QAP know that in this specific situation you wanted to enter the path of the file in the text field and click "Open" button (instead of opening the document)? Food for thought...
But did you know that you can do something similar yourself using the Alternative menu feature "Copy Favorite path" (https://www.quickaccesspopup.com/what-ar...-features/). For example, in the file open dialog box (assuming you kept the default menu buttons config):
This can be shortened to 2 steps using the Alternative menu shortcut:
- Click Shift+Middle Mouse -> this opens the Alternative menu
- Select "Copy Favorite Path..." -> this opens your QAP menu
- In the QAP Recent files, select the file you want to attach -> This copy its path to the Clipboard
- Paste it in the file open dialog box and click Open.
Is this faster than selecting the file in one of the Recent folders?
- In the QAP Recent files, select the file you want to attach WHILE holding the Left Control key pressed -> This copy its path to the Clipboard
- Paste it in the file open dialog box and click Open.
