  Sorry for joining the conversation so late! If my thread subject has already been discussed elsewhere please point me there.
  
  Regarding your comments about the Quick Access Clipboard project being suspended, I'm not clear what this means going forward.
  
  

  1. Specifically, has the "Rules Manager" functionality, as presented in your YouTube video at the 14:25 timestamp, been abandoned? I currently have Quick Clipboard Editor v0.2.1 beta installed and no longer see the "Rules Manager" as an option. I believe I experimented with the Rules Manager in a previous beta of QAC, but maybe I'm thinking of your video.
     
  2. Otherwise, is the Rules Manager functionality already part of QCE v0.2.1 beta and I'm simply not seeing it?
     
  3. In the event the Rules Manager functionality is "on hold" and will be reinstated later as part of the QCE project (or a separate project), can I still download the old/beta version that included it?
     

  From the video I linked above, the Rules Manager is what intrigued me the most and I actually DO have some feedback as far as its implementation, but feel I need to get up to speed on the current and future development plans/programs before I make any nonsensical suggestions.

  Thanks for you interest in the ruler. You can share your comments here if you wish. But I'm currently working on Quick Access Clipboard. I'll have a new release in the next weeks. I'll start working on the Clipboard ruler only after a first officiel release of QCE is ready, not before a few months.

  Unless you say otherwise, I'll refer to them (for now) as separate products to hopefully avoid any confusion.

  They will be two separate but complementary applications with possible integration between the two. QAC will not exista as it is now. The 2nd app couls be named "Quick Clipboard Ruler", or something similar. Let's call it QCR for now.

  In the next release (probably today or tomorrow), QCE will never be in Read-only mode (except when showing the invisible characters). There will be two modes: "Synced" and "Editing". This will make the editor much more convenient, not having to click the "Edit Clipboard" button before making any change.
  
  The status will be "Synced" when the editor content is identical to the Clipboard content. In that mode, any change to the Clipboard content will immediately be reflected in QCE. The content will be editable without having to click a button. As soon as the content of the editor differs from the Clipboard (after changing it in the editor or using one of the menu bar commands like "Change case", "Convert", "Sort", etc.), the mode will change to "Editing" and the "Save to Clipboard" will become enabled. Saving the editor to the Clipboard will revert QCE to the "Synced" mode and the "Save to Clipboard" button will be disabled.
