High DPI screens
- new hi-res images for QAP dialog boxes ("Customize", "Welcome" and "Startup Tips") for better display on high DPI screens (hi-res images are used when resolution is 144 DPI or higher)
- in "Add Favorite - Select Type" dialog box, fix icons alignement on both regular and high DPI screens; make icons clickable
Various
- add an option to disable/enable ("exclude" or "include only") all QAP keyboard shortcuts (favorites shortcuts, Main and Alternative menus shortcuts and Alternative menus features shortcuts)
- in "Special Folders", add "Environment Variables" under the "Power User" section
- add the QAPmessenger command "ShowMenuDynamic" to display QAP Feature dynamic menus ("Recent/Frequent Folders", "Current Windows", "TC Directory Hotlist", "DOpus Favorites", etc.); menus must be present in the QAP menu
- increase reliability when opening a folder in a new tab of Win11 Windows Explorer (after adding a new tab, wait 1 second before changing the folder)

- fix bug introduced in beta v11.5.99.1 when opening the main menu with the mouse button
- fix bug when in a favorite folder "Window Options" tab, "Use default position" is checked but the "Minimized" option was selected previously
- in the "Add Favorite Type" dialog box, increase spacing between groups and better center icons with radio buttons
- in "Options", move down the "Menu Exclusions/Inclusions" section

- new {RandomText:...} and {RandomNumber:...} placeholders to be replaced with random text, random integer or random floating point numbers
- {RandomText:text1|text2|text3} is replaced with one of the pieces of text
- {RandomNumber:x|y} is replaced with an integer number between integers x and y

Search QAP and Go
- a new quick way to launch your favorites: show the "Search QAP and Go" box, type a few characters and double-click your item in the search result (or select items with up/down arrows and hit Enter)
- to show the "Search QAP and Go" box:
- for existing installations (QAP installed before v11.5.99.4): add a favorite of type "QAP Feature" and select the feature "Search QAP and Go"
- for new installations: the feature is automatically added under the "My QAP Essentials" menu
- in both cases, the hotkey Shift+Ctrl+Z is assigned by default to this feature (you can change it in the "Menu Options" tab of the favorite or in "Tools, Manage hotkeys")
- the "Search QAP and Go" box is initially displayed at the center of the main monitor and is afterward displayed at is last location; if the box ever becomes invisible (for example, after a change of monitors configuration), it can be centered again on the main monitor using the menu "Tools, Restore 'Search QAP and Go' window position"
- the "Search QAP and Go" box is displayed "always on top" and is closed automatically when you select an item in the search result, click the Close button or hit Escape
- the search result is currently limited to the 10 first occurences of the search string (an option will allow to change this number in the next release)
Various
- fix bug when a macro Snippet is calling another QAP favorite using its hotkey
- in {Menu:...} placeholder, make bold the first item with a label but no content (to make it look like a title)
- do not expand process {Menu:...] placeholder when using the Alternative menu feature "Edit a Favorite"

- remove the limit of number of items in "Search QAP and go" search result
- display the search result with a scroll bar if the number of items exceeds the window height and make the window resizable

Hi Jean,
I have 2 4K monitors running at 3840 x 2160 scaled at 150%. I just installed v11.5.99.1 beta.
When I create a new Favorite, I notice that the spacing between them is varied.
I doesn't really bother me but since you are working on this issue I thought I should report it.

@Dale: Do you mean the space between groups of types, e.g between "Special Folder" and "Document"? If yes, it was like that before.
Besides, I see issues and unexpected side-effects with the new shortcut blocking feature. I removed the download link and suggest to wait for the next release. If you installed v11.5.99.1, I recommend re-installing v11.5.10. -

I don't understand the order and think it would be easier to find Favorites if the whole thing was alphabetized. I wonder what others think.
Per your suggestion, I have rolled back to version 11.2.10 .

Not a big issue....
I just checked for an update on my travel laptop and it asked me if I wanted to update to 11.5.99.1 beta .
Yet when I go to the website to download it, it is version 11.5.99.2 beta . Something is off a little.

Regarder the broken shortcut I use the keyboard and when I'm on a folder it goes to the address bar , neither go back to quick access pop up and open add file/folder dialog

Morning all,
Latest beta version, the ability to call snippets from other snippets with shortcut keys is now broken. So for example if you have a snippet with a trigger string of #manythanks# that contains the new feature RandomText, but then presses the shortcut key of another snippet defined as CTRL + ALT + ; now does not work (see example below)

I have multiple of these triggers as I have set routines that I need to call in different ways, all working with previous release.
Additionally, when using the shortcuts that include CTRL + ALT, they keys are left on after calling the shortcut. So if I manually press the shortcut CTRL + ALT + ; the macro executes successfully, but then then either CTRL or/and ALT are left pressed down, so I have to randomly mash CTRL and/or ALT to reset their state

I never tested this use case and did not know it would work! For those not familiar with this, the snippet calling another snippet (or any other favorite) using a hotkey must be set as "Macro" mode in the advanced settings to have the keyboard shortcut interpreted.
I tried it and it worked with the latest prod release (v11.5.10) and not with the latest beta release. It does not work even when the snippet contain no placeholder at all. I'll see what broke this.

After more investigation, I can say that this issue is related to the introduction in v11.5.99.1 of the option to disable QAP keyboard shortcuts when given application(s) is(are) active. This is not related to the new snippet placeholders released in v11.5.99.3.
The technique used to block the keyboard shortcuts works well by itself, blocking the QAP hotkeys only when the active applications is on the exclusion list in "Option, Launch Advanced Options". But this technique also wrongly blocks hotkeys called from QAP itself (from a macro snippet, for example) even if there is no application on the exclusion list. I have no explanation for this at this time and will continue to investigate. -

Update: I've found the solution, thanks to AHK forum. Only a one-line command had to be added but "the right command at the right place" :-) This will be in the next beta release. -

thank you for the "Search QAP and Go" feature.
After a brief test I am sure I will get rid of my current keyboard launcher over the holidays.
Some thoughts, although I am really happy already (;-)
(1) Support dark mode
(2) Show the recently launched QAP&Go items (history) while search window is still empty.
(3) While typing, sort the results by most frequent use.
