  I make use of a Column separator in my main favorites menu which displays fine after regular QAP startup.

  If if I open the menu customization make changes and save with the Save and Close, the column is no longer taken into account when I open the menu again and all is displayed in a single column list. The eye icon preview shows the same.

  If I then go to File > Restart Quick Access Popup it displays fine again. I noticed now that the Live Folder "Duarte" right after the column also seems disabled after saving.

  What could be the cause of this, corrupt menu definition?

  I could not reproduce this issue. But could be caused by some unexpected situation that "corrupted" your menu. For example, there must not be a line separator after a column break (it breaks the menu). Normally QAP is deleting such unwanted line separator when saving. Maybe something like this was not detected and is causing an issue.
  
  Did you try to delete the column break favorite, save, restart and re-insert the column break? Or try to introduce the column break in other positions? And make sure there is not line separator after the column break.

  There are no line separators in the root main menu, but there are a few inside sub menu "Current" which is after the column. Not sure if that still causes issues or not.
  
  Either way removing the column separator and adding it again seems to have solved the issue. I no longer have to restart QAP to get the column displayed after changes.
  
  The greyed out live folder was unrelated, seems to be caused by the option Refresh this live folder menu only with the command "Refresh Live Folders and Shared menus"; disabling it no longer leaves it greyed out after saving changes.
