  I came across this Quick Access Popup today and think it is a promising tool. Is it possible to add search engines to the current menu and use them to search selected text? Search results pages are supposed to be opened in a default browser( whether it is firefox or chrome).  Thank you!

  Of course :-)
  
  Create a "Link" favorite with the URL of the search engine and the {Clipboard} placeholder, for example:
  https://www.google.com/search?q={Clipboard}
  
  Now, copy the selected text to your clipboard and launch this favorite from the QAP menu or using an assigned hotkey.

  No. This proved to be unreliable in some situation. I preferred to let the user hit Ctrl+C. This being said, I could revisit this feature. Added to the wishlist:
