Yeah, I run WSL on a couple of machines, and use a X server to "pipe" GUI apps from the WSL VM to the host.
But, I tested QAP on a conventional VM running in VMware and using Zorin OS. Btw, Zorin looks like a very slick distro so far, it just works, and it is fast in VMware.
The only distro I've tested in VMware that is faster is MX Linux (in my very subjective opinion)

If you mean triggering hotstrings from your QAP running in Windows in a terminal connected to a WSL, it works like a charm.
I posted something about it in a thread here (I think), snippets also works, but sometimes you have to flip the snippet to macro mode, if I remember correctly.
