Problem
If you have several machines running QAP, use shared menus, but:
- Don't want to use cloud syncs like OneDrive, Dropbox, Tresorit etc. on each machine to sync the menus.
- Don't have the machines conjoined through a file share.
- Want the possibility to sync just in your LAN and/or also outside it without punching holes in firewalls/routers.
I highly recommend taking a look at Syncthing.
Syncthing is available for Linux, Windows, Android and several other operatingsystems.
QAP
I use Syncthing to sync files between several Linux (Zorin OS) and Windows machines in a "cluster".
But, for QAP (Windows) it is perfect for syncing shared menus.
(I use it for the Windows boxes in that "cluster").
Syncthing links and docs
Main GitHub repo
Documentation
Windows
Windows packages
Both setup and portable files.
You don't need to download anything from the main repo, these packages contains all you need.
CAUTION!
By default Syncthing enables
NAT Traversal,
Global Discovery and
Relaying
Check the documentation, and decide if this is OK for you or not.
Personally I switch off NAT Traversal and Relaying because I don't need it.
I keep Global Discovery because I can't be bothered to tweak
Sync Protocol Listen Addresses for every node in the "cluster".
But, ymmv.

PS!
As always, I have no affilliation with Syncthing, I'm just a user.[/i]
