  Happy new year 2022! Here is a new beta release with two new features requiring testing.
  
  Version BETA: 11.5.3.9.1 (2022-01-11)
  
  New features
  - add the "Launch at startup" option on "Basic tab" of the "Add/Edit Favorite" dialog box; available for all types of favorites including "Groups" (except "Text Separator" and individual group members); press the Shift while launching QAP to bypass the autoexecution of these favorites; see https://www.quickaccesspopup.com/can-i-l...p-startup/

  I've just tested the Beta relatively to "Always on top" evolution.
  I confirm it's OK now, and also that (at least from my standpoint), it's a lot better to have a confirmation popup when turning it on.
  The only "issue" : this popup is currently not translated (at least in French).
  
  On the other hand, I have also (quickly...) tested the new "Launch at startup" : Actually, it works ONLY if the favorite is in the main menu, but DOESN't work if the menu is in a sub-menu. At least for favorite that is a "simple directory".

  Confirmed on both Windows 10 and Windows Server 2019 Core.
  Note:
  For users (like me) who use the & sign (ampersand) in submenu names, remember to reference the submenu with the REAL name, ie use &&.
  (My brain was off, and I used the display name, that of course does not work).

  For users (like me) who use shared menus, a favorite set to launch at start of course launches on all machines using that shared menu.

  the new file manager options for Total Commander don't work.
  Whatever I set in the file manager options the behavior is as follows
  If TC is already running, simple folder favorites are always opened on the Active side.
  If TC is not running, simple folder favorites are always opened on the left side.
  
  The behaviour changes when the option "a new commander tab" is set.
  If TC is already running, simple folder favorites are always opened on the configured side.
  If TC is not running, simple folder favorites are always opened on the left side.
  
  
  TC Directory Hotlist entries including a target works.
  I haven't yet tested the group options.

  The options "Open new tabs on which side of the file manager?" at the bottom of the options window apply only when opening a folder in a new tab. If you selected the option "the current Total Commander tab" above, the folders are always open in an existing tab. In this case, the "side" options are irrelevant.

  I reviewed how QAP opens simple folder or special folders in TC (not running), in a new tab, with the various "side" options. For me it all works. Let's see the commands used by QAP to launch Total Commander:
  
  With options:
  "Preferred file manager": "Total Commander"
  "When opening the menu outside TC": "a new TC tab"
  
  and option "Open new tabs on which side?"...
  
  "Active" QAP open the folder with this command:
  E:\Apps\totalcmd\TOTALCMD64.EXE /O /T /="C:\" ; I think "/=" should be "/S=", I will review it but it works anyway
  
  "Left"
  E:\Apps\totalcmd\TOTALCMD64.EXE /O /T /L="C:\"
  
  "Right"
  E:\Apps\totalcmd\TOTALCMD64.EXE /O /T /R="C:\"
  
  "Destination"
  E:\Apps\totalcmd\TOTALCMD64.EXE /O /T /S /R="C:\"
  
  When opening a Special folder ("My Computer" in these examples), QAP is using the send message technique:
  
  First, if QAP is not running, it is launched without any parameter. Then...

  Then, in all cases, it execute this command:

  Please let me see if you can spot something that would explain why it does not work on your system. Remember that only "Destination" was added in this beta release. The other options were already available in previous releases.

  This will be changed in the next release. But, as I said, it already works as expected in the current release v11.5.3.9.3.

  One more thing about Total Commander... I just found a bug present in releases before this beta test. When a group contains a special folder (for example "My Computer"), QAP is going into an infinite loop opening a folder repetitively in one pane or both panes. The only way to stop it is to "File, Exit Quick Access Popup".
  
  This will be fixed in the next beta release.
  
  @Horst: I suggest to wait for the next release (probably tomorrow) before continuing your tests. Sorry about that.

  The /R or /L set the pathes in the left or right side but doesn't set this side active
  Your command lines are missing the /P parameter.
  
  The following commands work for me, if TC is not yet started:
  TOTALCMD64.EXE /O /T /P=R /R="C:\"
  TOTALCMD64.EXE /O /T /P=L /L="C:\"

  My tests where made while TC was not running.
  /O is only relevant for an already running TC but doesn't hurt here.
  /P and /O together is ok, the Wiki is wrong and the help file has no such restriction.

  In this release, lots of tweaks in the way QAP is processing Total Commander command line options to open folders in the correct tab and pane. I've done extensive tests. Everything seems fine. Please let me know if it's the same on your side. Thanks.

  fix confirmed.
  
  I made a few tests with setting to "Open in a new TC tab"
  
  If TC is not running
    all is fine now.
  
  If TC is already running
    the option Destination side opens the favorite on the correct target side
    but doesn't activate it, it stays on the active side.
  
  If the option to "Open in an existing TC tab" is set and TC is already running
  the favorite is opened and activated on the active side and never in the destination.
  
  All tests are made using the pop-up from the tray menu.

  This is the desired behavior. This could be made more clear by disabling the side options (Active, Left, Right, Destination) when this option is selected.

  If I want to copy something into the folder its fine when the favorite is on the other pane but the active pane stays.
  If I want to edit or manipulate files in this favorite folder its better when the destination is made active.
  So there is no final solution for all cases but using new tabs solves all general problems.

  In the next and probably final beta release for this test phase, the checkbox "Use tabs instead of opening a new window" and the side options below this checkbox will be disabled (because irrelevant) when the option "the current TC/DOpus tab" is selected under "File manager preferences".
