  In a closer examination I found that the problems then arise in input fields of browsers such as Firefox and Google Chrome when Quick Access Popup is started and the option "Deactivate keyboard shortcuts" is disabled. 
  As you can see there are Accents like „^“ and „`“ which I do not insert because I used only letters „a“, „s“ and „d“:
  
  
  
  On the other hand when the option "Deactivate keyboard shortcuts" is enabled the problems go away:
  
  
  
  The problems arise on my PC two or three weeks ago and arise on my notebook since a few days.
  My PC is using Windows 10 Pro 20H2 Build 19042.1348. My Notebook is using Windows 10 Pro Education 21H1 Build 19043.1165.

  Thanks for reporting this. I'm sorry about this... I can't explain this issue. Did you receive my reply to your email? I was asking you what are your regional settings? Does the issue appear with any keyboard language (for example with an English US keyboard)?
  
  Also, it would help if you could run an older version of QAP to see if the issue in caused by a recent change in QAP or a change in Windows. You could install v10.5.6 (https://www.quickaccesspopup.com/prod-do.../?v=10.5.6). I recommend taking a backup of your quickaccesspopup.ini file in case running the older version changes something (it should be OK but better be safe).

  On both hardware (PC and Notebook) I tested under different circumstances. I have full backups of my installation system (Acronis True Image). Only system installation from July 2021 is free of problems. In all other cases I found accentual letters in different versions of Quick Access Popup when writing in input fields of browsers such as:
  
  asdasdsasdsâsdsasdsadsasdsasdsasdásdadsadsadsadsadsadsasda^sdasdasdasdasdadssasda´dsadsadsadsadsadsadsadsas^ds
  
  I used only letters "a",´s" and "d".
  
  
  
  I can avoid such problems when deactivating short keys in the popup menu.

  Yes but disabling all QAP hotkeys means that you miss large part of QAP benefits, leaving only the QAP icon in the Notification zone to access your menu...
  
  Up to now, 2 users reported this issue, you and Jirka. The only common point is that you use non-English keyboards (German and Czech). I myself use French Canadian keyboard, using the most recent Windows build on you table, and do not face this issue.
  
  Unfortunately, it still do see how to approach this issue...

  For the record, I tried to reproduce this "undesired accents" issue on a virtual machine with Check and German languages, with the latest QAP and Windows 10 build in your table and I did not have any undesired characters using text box (or URL zone) in Firefox and Edge. There must be some other condition/cause for this issue...

  thank you very much for your for your careful investigation. I switched the keyboard to English, but didn't notice any change. Perhaps the only solution is reinstalling my PC. 
  
  
  However, my service device is serviced by my company,, but it shows the same problem. I don't have a sensible solution for that yet.

  u_v sent me an update by email. He found that ESET Internet Security could be causing the problem. When ESET protects a browser window and QAP hotkeys are enabled, undesired characters (accents) appear randomly in the URL bar and web page input fields. The combination of Quick Access Popup and ESET Internet Security would cause this issue.
  
  Unfortunately, I do not see what could be changed on QAP site to avoid this issue... This issue could be reported to ESET? It may affect other applications than QAP.
  
  Than s you u_v for your tenacious investigation. Hoping that we'll find a solution.

  I'll chime in with my $0.02 on this one.
  
  If u_v has tracked this down to ESET causing the problem (kudos to u_v for the research, very nice job) there is not much you can do on the QAP side.
  Anti-virus/-malware/-risk software is very intrusive, they have to be to intercept nasty stuff.
  
  I use QAP on both English and Norwegian versions of Windows 10 and 11.
  All of them are set up with Norwegian keyboard layout, my personal machines and the lab uses Windows Defender.
  
  The machines delivered from my employer (I do not have admin access) uses Windows Defender ATP and Exploit Guard and there is no interference with the keyboard.
  (Edit: We also use Office ATP and browser protection or whatever MS calls it this week, we run the full suite of protection mechanisms from Office 365 and Azure).
  
  If it is ESET causing this, as a customer of ESET I would report it to them.

  The issue has been reported to ESET. They confirmed the issue. Unfortunately, they do not offer a solution at the moment. The issue is also affecting FastKeys.

  Same problem here. Only browsers that are not monitored by ESet (Brave, for example) work properly.
