...the future's so bright (I gotta wear shades).
On Windows 11 the QAP menus are blindingly white.
For those of us who prefer dark mode wherever possible this is a major strain on the eyes.
Of course Microsoft couldn't be arsed to implement Dark Mode across every menu/submenu in Windows 11.
But, screw up the existing ones in Win 10, "Yessir, thank you sir!"
(This is an OS thingy, NOT a QAP thingy, see attached screenshots).

Thank You, yes I am aware that Jean is on vacation.
This is not a complaint/bug report on QAP.
This was me venting some frustration (sorry about that) regarding Windows 11.
Why o'why can't they leave the old stuff alone...if they can't fix it.
It took me 5 sec to find that migraine inducing white menu in Windows itself after upgrading one of my machines to Win11.
It's an OS issue, I can only hope that Jean and/or the developers behind AHK can do some magic.....

You can configure the font attributes and font size for the menus but not the background. -

Yeah, even in Win11 you don't have to dig deep before you see the old interface.
The old "System Properties" dialog is still there (for joining a computer to a domain among other stuff), and a lot of other places.
But, it is even worse now, because they are even more bright white than in Win10, imho.
From an end-user perspective Win11 is mostly one big feature update.
But, they tightened the security (a good thing), and Win11 includes several great features in that area (some of them requires supported hardware, though).

Hi,
I take this rainy day during my vacation for a little visit to the forum. About this menu color issue I started a new thread on AHK forum to see if AHK experts know if new Win 11 options could improve this situation. I'll let you know if something can be made in QAP.

As you can see from the screenshots I've darkened the QAP (background) color a little bit, this works on Win10.
Win11 totally ignores it for items in the menu, only the menu separators still have that color.
