  Hi!
  
  I have set Total Commander as file manager in QAP and I have set open folders in:"a new Total Commander tab".
  If I open a folder shortcut in QAP while Total Commander is the top window in the folder opens in existing tab.
  
  Would it be possible to have a setting to always have new folders open in new tabs in Total Commander even when the Total Commander is the top window?

  Regardless of the selected file manager, the logic of QAP is to "change the folder" in the existing window (or tab) when this window/tab is active. To open a folder in a new window/tab even when a window/tab is active, you can use the "Alternative" menu command "Open in new window" by pressing Shift + Middle Mouse Button (or Shift + Windows + W), then select the folder you want to open in a new window.
