  Hi,
  
  I use the Live Folders feature a lot. I remember a while back setting the limit too high and really breaking everything (that was probably when Live Folders first got introduced so I am not sure how much error catching has been implemented since then - hopefully more).
  
  My question is; Why does this limit exist and why do you feel that 800 is a safe number? I'd really like to understand the limitations more so that I could work to a safe maximum. Does it vary depending on the system or filetypes etc?
  
  What actually happens when you find the magical horror number that breaks things?

  Having too big Live Folders menus is not an issue for QAP. It is an issue for Windows that cannot manage very, very large menus. The maximum number of items depends on your system resources. This is why you have to experiment. I feel that 500 items is always safe. This is why I make it the default. Over that, it is up to you to determine the max for your system.

  In my experience, it made the menu unusable. I don't think it could harm anything. At worst, you could have to open the "Customize" window from the QAP icon menu (right-click) and reduce the depth/content of your live folders.
