  I am using the Portable QAP version. In the main QAP folder I have a folder with icons that I use in the program. I'm using parameters to point to this directory.

  All my icons in the IKONY directory are in ico format. Unfortunately, it works once, but the vast majority of it doesn't work and I don't know what it's caused by.
  
  
  
  I work on an account with administrator rights. I tried restarting QAP but it doesn't help

  Have you checked the security settings of the IKONY folder (Right-click on the folder, Properties, Security tab)? Compare it with the security settings of other subfolders of the QAP folder.

  Everything looks as it should in these settings.
  
  BTW
  I don't know how it happened, but the next time I tried, the icon appeared. I will be monitoring this matter and if there are problems, I will write again in this thread.

  I did some tests and here are my insights. If using the copy and paste method I will copy:

  .\IKONY\

  then I will enter the name of the icon and its extension, then the problem described by me in the first post appears.
  
  But, if I enter the entire path to the location and the file name with an extension manually, then this problem does not occur. It is very strange but unfortunately this is how it looks with me.

  Strange, as you said. On my system, these three approaches work:

C:\FullPath\TEST\local.ico

  
  You could try the 1st method without .\.

  In general, everything works for me too, but as I wrote, the problem was only when I use the Copy & Paste method to copy the first fragment of the path. It was probably a formatting error in my notepad, everything is fine now.
