  It would be nice to have the option to have QAP perform periodic backups to a destination folder of our choosing. We would be able to set the backup frequency (eg: daily, weekly, etc) and as a bonus, be able to set the prefix of the backup files (add date\time to the backup file name - which I think is already set as default)
  
  This would be especially useful to beta users as the admin even suggests that beta users make a daily backup anyway.
  
  Oh, and if QAP could be able to connect to my wifi connection and power on my coffee machine in the morning, that would be great too!

  As you know, QAP is saving daily backups in the backup folder that you can choose in "Options, General". It is keeping a copy of the settings file of the last five days (last 10 days for beta releases users). What you suggest is to set the frequency and a prefix?
  
  Regarding the coffee machine, I'll investigate the feasibility ;-)

  Oh, ok! I didn't realize that it was backing up to that folder I set. I actually was surprised when I saw names like QuickAccessPopup-backup-20201120 in that folder because I usually give my backups different names but I never put much thought into it and didn't realize that it was an automatic backup.
  
  How many days does it save? You had a typo and wrote "days days."
  The backup frequency seems inconsistent: 11-13, 11-15, 11-16, 11-17, 11-20... skipped 14, 18, 19, 21, 22 and 23. Wonder how it decides when to backup.
  
  About the frequency, I really don't see a need to backup unless a change was made so maybe it should only create an auto backup when a change is made and saved?
  
  The prefix is just a bonus for organization freaks - the current naming with the date is fine for me.

  I meant "the last five days (last 10 days for beta releases users)" (I'll fix it in the original post).
  
  It makes a backup at every launch of QAP using the name for the current day. So if you restart QAP during the day it overwrites the backup for this day.
