  I think they're called Website Favicons(?) They don't appear in the QAP main menu (see img).  Is there a setting for them to be automatically added from the website?  
  
  I'm using Chrome browser in Win 10.

  To get this Icons QAP would have to start a browser and the web page.
  Then the FavIcon would be in the browser and still not in QAP.
  Depending on the users browser there may be different ways to get the icons if there is any method at all.
  I think thats not worth the effort.

  For "Link (URL)" type favorites you could use something like this:

  This encapsulates the relatively complex task of fetching a favicon.

  If the website is correctly configured, the favicon can be easily downloaded thanks to google :
  
  https://www.google.com/s2/favicons?domain={the domain you want the favicon here}
  
  returns the favicon....
  
  Example : https://www.google.com/s2/favicons?domai...spopup.com

  There is a command QAP can use to download a file from an URL. QAP would have to save this file in a permanent location. I would not like it to be in the working directory itself. But it could be in {WorkingDir}\FavIcons (or a more generic name like "\Icons").

  I just found there is an alternative to www.google.com/s2 to retrieve favicon of a given site, that add the capability to get it in better resolution than 16x16

  It seems that many sites have the favicon at site.com/favicon.ico.   Such as

  QAP's is apparently highrez, though I don't know if all sites have high rez. 
  
  I like the idea of them being kept in a /favicons subdirectory.  Jean, please remember that some users (like me) don't have admin privaledges.  I'm running the portable version of QAP from a location on my C: Drive.

  None of the mentioned methods are official standard APIs and not guaranted to work in the future.
  I think that FavIconds are not importand for an launcher and the programming effort is wasting time.
  I only have have a few URL favorites in QAP but many bookmarks in my browsers.
  In the browsers (Firefox and Edge) the FavIcons are there without any addiional effort and thats enough for me.
  Thats of course only my view on this topic.

  I think I'll stick to Google's /s2/ URL. I will probably be more reliable and stable over time.

  kunkel: You can actually already add favicons.
  
  Here's how:
  
  Obtain the favicon and save it somewhere. When you change the icon in QAP, change the file filter to "All files (*.*)" and select the icon like in the screenshot below.
  
  Contrary to what is implied by the default file filter, QAP can use most graphic files (*.png, *.bmp, etc.) for the icon.

  Thanks Scott!  Yea, I was actually able to save the favicons as .ico file after retrieving them via "site.com/favicon.ico."

  In the beta users forum, Dale reported:

  I fixed the issue using an async request to get the icon. This will be in v11.2.9.7 to be releases soon.
  
  FYI, QAP first tries to retrieve the favicon.ico in the root of the web site. If it fails, it tried to retrieve the icon as a .png file using the Google "/s2/" query above. In me experience, chances are better to get a nice image with the favicon.ico file.
