Hi Jean,
I've recently bought the lifetime variant of the QAP license, and since upgrading to version 11.0.5 my two licenses seem to be registered after each restart, as if I've installed QAP on another PC (which I didn't).
This results in having to deactivate my two licenses online after every two restarts, looking up my activation code and entering it again.
On a probably not unimportant note: I've performed the major October 2020 Windows 10 upgrade yesterday.
I hope the licensing issues will soon be fixed.

Remove the installations while QAP is not running and start QAP again.
This will reregister the activation and there is no need to enter the licence key again.
This worked at least without problems for me.
And btw I also have the Windows 10 version 20H2, this has no influence on the licencing process. -

Could you please try the advice from Horst and report the result?
The licensing/loop/freeze bug in 11.0.4 was due to a glitch that triggered on some PCs.
I had several PCs that got hit by this, and several that didn't.
(So I helped Jean troubleshoot it).
For those not affected there should be no difference from 11.0.3/0.4 when upgrading to 11.0.5.
For those affected there should be a new System ID when upgrading to 11.0.5, but QAP should not "eat" your license on each start.
I have 10+ installations of QAP v.11.0.5 and they do not behave this way.
It is possible though that you have discovered a new bug.

Are you using a "setup" version of QAP, or a "portable" one ?
And if it is a "portable" version, where did you install it ?
I ask the question, because if you installed your portable QAP in some "Windows protected" folder (like "C:\Program files") this could explain you have to re-enter your code... -

I'm using the installer version, and installed it in the default Program Files path.
I have deactivated the licenses while not running QAP, then reactivated a license from QAP. Let's see if it works.

Here we go again... See attached screenshot.
Somehow, despite starting with a clean slate of activations, and having installed the latest version, each reboot is being regarded as a new installation, as if my system is not being recognized by QAP each time the application starts, and a new activation is generated each time.
Right now the only thing that works is going to the online management system again, and deactivating the two newly generated activations. Then QAP starts properly, but immediately generates a new activation. I don't even get the activation dialog. -

maybe the installer version tries to write it into Program files dir which has no write access for normal users. -

Possibly. You'd expect the activation data to be stored in the Registry or a user folder that is accessible to applications.
I wouldn't even mind QAP checking the license online at startup (maybe on an IP address basis), as long as that would make my system permanently recognized.
Jean, should I make use of the portable QAP version for the time being, until the licensing issues have been fully solved?

This is normal. When the license number is known to QAP, new activation are created automatically and silently when this license is running on a new system

No it does not. It writes to the Registry.

This issue has been fixed. It was caused by an uncommon hardware configuration and will be taken into account in the next release.
