Somehow, despite starting with a clean slate of activations, and having installed the latest version, each reboot is being regarded as a new installation, as if my system is not being recognized by QAP each time the application starts, and a new activation is generated each time.
Right now the only thing that works is going to the online management system again, and deactivating the two newly generated activations. Then QAP starts properly, but immediately generates a new activation. I don't even get the activation dialog.

I use the portable version which stores it into the QAP dir itself
maybe the installer version tries to write it into Program files dir which has no write access for normal users.
