As Jean documents here:
Can I change folder in Windows command line CMD or PowerShell?
https://www.quickaccesspopup.com/can-i-c...owershell/
CMD and Powershell:
You can use QAP to change folders when using the command line (CMD.EXE) and Powershell.
This includes the new Powershell 7.
(Run the command:
Get-Host | Select-Object Version to check your Powershell version)
This works if you run them as separate windows on your desktop.
And also if you have them as tabs in the new
Windows Terminal app.
SSH, Windows Client, Windows Host:
If you use the OpenSSH client included with Windows (command line, no GUI) and connects to a Windows SSH host from cmd or Powershell, they also works there.
Far Manager:
Far Manager is a text mode file manager. I use it when connecting to Windows SSH hosts (installed on the host).
The change folder function also works in Far Manager.
Snippets:
Text Snippets also works in the situations described above.....cmd, Powershell, Windows Terminal, SSH and Far Manager.
SSH, Windows Client, Linux Host:
If you use the OpenSSH client included with Windows (command line, no GUI) and connects to a Linux SSH host.....
Snippets, they work fine, so you can use QAP as Speed Dial for often used commands on the Linux command line.
Nifty!
