  Hi Jean
  
  I got a favorite that is \\{Clipboard}\c$
  It is supposed to open a remote computer c drive, {Clipboard} can be either a dns name or an IP.
  It often happen that the computer is not online. then QAP stall during 30s approx, not able to run another fav during this (as it seems only one instance is allowed to run)
  
  So I was thinking to create a favorite that run a "ping {Clipboard}"(or any other command that test connection) and if successful then run "\\{Clipboard}\c$" and if failed drop an error popup.
  
  Do you think it is doable ? if so how ? (I'd like to avoid to run a script that is stored somewhere on a HDD, i'd prefer something embedded in your app)
  
  Of course I could run a ping fav before running the forlder fav, but one in all seems better for me

  I do not see how this could be made using the actual QAP release (so you would have to use a separate script/favorite) but it looks like an potential solution to the various issues related to offline network drives.

  To be honest I don't see how a group can help in such scenario. As I understand it a group opens a bunch of a favorites at the same time.
  What I'd like to achieve is to open a fav based on the return code of a another one.
  
  But thanks for the idea.
  Until you find a solution to the "network issue" I'll go for a script then

  I understand. What would help here would be to have the group items check the return code from the previous item. Not sure how feasible it is but this could be part of the solution.
