QAP is not designed as a multi-user (or multi-instances) application. I can look into this but until then I would suggest this:
- Consider not sharing the same working folder. Instead, use a Shared menu for the parts of your favorites that you want to share on the 2 computers.

- If you prefer to continue with this "unrecommended" setup, I would suggest to reduce the refresh interval of the database refresh to, for example, 600 seconds (10 minutes) to reduce the probability of "collision" between the two instances.

Its not required for recent files or folders.
I stopped using the database long time ago and I guess its not needed for many users.
