  Jean, I found a minor problem with respect to hotstrings and the main QAP menu (both in the editor and when the main menu is rendered). 
  
  Notice that the hs string appears rather than the actual hotstring.
  
       
  
  However, once I do a Save & Reload, the actual hotstring appears.
  
       
  
  

  But unfortunately, the configured hotstrings do not appear when the QAP menu is rendered.

  There are inconsistencies in your screen captures, it should always be "hs". I will check it.
  
  But if your comment is about "hs" being displayed instead of the actual hotstring, "hs" is the abbreviation for "hotstring" that I use when user select "Display abbreviated" in "Option", "Menu" tab. The goal of this option is to keep menus narrow and the "hs" abbreviation is used to avoid displaying long hotsrings. I'm not sure this is the best idea I had but I do not have a better one. We should discuss this.

  Hello Jean,
  I don't think that the current display is a problem.
  I guess most users will prefer to display the full hot-keys and hotstrings
  and such strings or hotkeys will never be very long.

  Yes, it was for the rendered menu (the third screenshot). Thanks for pointing out that option, Jean. I missed that global option. For the sake of others that might be reading this post: With v9.9.0.6 alpha, this is under the new Options (menu)>Menu Appearance (menu choice)>Display full hotkey and hotstring (radio button).
  
  Jean: My preference would be to separate these global options. I like the representation of the short modifiers (e.g., ! rather than Alt), but it's nice to show the actual hotstrings rather than hs. (As you can see from the third screenshot, I prefer short hotstrings.) 
  
  Another thing to consider would be to add another checkbox option for each hotstring (under the Change hotstring dialog which has Case sensitive, Expand inside other words, etc.). This would accommodate situations where a user might have mostly short hotstrings, but has one or more that are long.

  Yes, with the first two Settings screenshots, that's what I was pointing out. (Note that this is a very minor issue that might go largely unnoticed, but I wanted to pass it along since I'm using your v9.9.0.6 alpha release.) Hopefully you can duplicate this behavior for a Menu entry that already has defined hotstring. From the main QAP Settings dialog:
  
  

  1. Click the Edit button to open the Menu item.
     
  2. Click the OK button to immediately close the Menu item. For that Menu item only, you'll see that hs is displayed rather than the actual hotstring.
     
  3. Click the Save & Reload button and hs will change to the actual configured hotstring.
     

  Note that this anomaly only occurs if the global Display Abbreviated (radio button)  is selected.
