I am a new user who for many years have used a similar App called TrueLaunchBar. I say similar, because it is possible to create a Popup folder menu that is almost identical in appearance and functionality to yours - screen shot attached.
The big difference being that your app is a thousand times easier to set up and configure.
Suffice to say I would be an instant convert if it were not for one thing - the limitations of the Live Folders facility. Almost immediately I came up against the 700 folders limitation and every time I make a change to any setting there is a wait while the app repopulates the folder list.
I am not sure whether you are familiar with TrueLaunchBar but it seems to avoid both these problems. I don't know how, but it clearly populates the menu folder list on the fly as it opens. This means there is, in effect, no limit on the number of folders, sub menus or files it can show. They simply pop up or out and populate the second the mouse hovers over an item. I realise this must rely on the speed of the processor one is using but I have never encountered anything other than fraction of a seconds lag on even the largest of folders.
So, my question is whether, at some point, it might be possible for you to emulate this type of functionality? I am, perhaps, unusual in that I have a number of Drives and a large number of folders on each but the 700 folder limit is major drawback and limitation.
Perhaps, if you have a moment you could have a look at TrueLaunchBar and see how it works.
If you could include this functionality QAP would be just about perfect.

Such function as TrueLaunchBar offers can be found in most actual file managers
under Breadcrumbs.
There is no need for it it QAP.

Understood - I am truly impressed that you can do so much with AutoHotkey.

I am sure there are. I don't propose to give it up. I was hoping to replace TrueLaunchBar but will now end up using both.
Thanks for your rapid response.

Horst - thanks for taking the trouble to reply.
I suppose it just depends upon how many drives and folders you have and how you use them.
Breadcrumbs have their uses but not the same functionality.
A basic example would be if you were looking for a particular program folder but weren't sure whether it was in Program Files or Program Files (x86)
With TrueLaunchBar you would simply hover over Program Files and the list of sub folders immediately springs out like Live View and you can scan down the list to see if the folder is there. If it's not then you just move the mouse down a fraction of an inch and the Program Files (x86) populates and you can scan down that list. No mouse clicks are required until you find the folder you want - exactly as it would be with Live folders if they could be turned on.
With breadcrumbs you have to use QAP to bring up the folder menu then click on the folder (say Program Files) to open Windows Explorer. You would then need to scroll down the window to see if the folder you are looking for is there. If not you then have to go up to the Address Bar click on the arrow beside "Local Disk" move down the drop down list it generates and then click on "Program Files (x86)". This switches the explorer pane to the Program Files (x86) folder which you then have to move back to before scrolling down the new list to find the folder you want. Much more convoluted - and this is a simple example.
None of that means that I don't think QAP is good - I do.
It just doesn't perform the particular task that I am used to doing when a large number of folders and sub folders are involved.
