When there is no other programs active on the desktop
and I start QAPmessenger.exe ShowMenuLaunch
the menu is shown but an in the backround minimized running TC is activated.
If there is some other program running while doing this only the menu is shown.
Also if the PopUp menu is triggered by an hotkey defined in QAP all is fine. -

Not sure I get your point here. Could you clarify?
I have no issue opening the menu with QAP messenger with TC active. The menu is open on the foreground. -

The problem is not activating TC from QAP favorites.
I don't want to activate the running TC just by showing the PopUp menu.
It activates TC while I still have not selected any favorite from the PopUp menu. -

Hum... I can't reproduce this issue. Having TC minimized and running "C:\Program Files\Quick Access Popup\QAPmessenger.exe" showmenunlaunch shows the QAP menu and leaves TC minimized.
Anyone else have seen the behavior you describe? -

Further test showed that it is not TC related.
I can also produce it by running Firefox minimized.
Then it will activate Firefox and show the PopUp menu.
Very strange. -

I reviewed the steps executed when opening the menu from QAPmessenger and can't see what would activate any application.
It may not be possible but can you see if the app is activate before or after the menu is shown?
Have you noticed when this behavior started?
Is it also present if you change your default file manager to Explorer? -

Hi to all, i'm new in this forum even if i have been using QAP for a long time.
Two days ago i updated QAP to the last version 11.5.8 and i have a similar problem.
I always launch QAP with middle mouse button (using X-Mouse button) linked to "C:\Program Files\Quick Access Popup\QAPmessenger.exe" showmenunlaunch
After the update, when i launch QAP and i have FF or Edge minimized, when i click middle mouse button it activates FF or EDGE and after QAP is launched....

I have the same issue when using QAPmessenger from the PowerShell command line.
If everything is minimzed (except for the pwsh window) I've had Vivaldi, Edge, VScode and Directory Opus getting arbitrarily maximized in the background.
Didn't notice it before because I never minimize windows, so for me it is a non-problem, but there is something going on.
Can't say if this started from the last version or not.

I just replaced my "normal" assignment of the MButton to now open the menu using QAPmessenger and I can reproduce the issue when all windows are minimized. But I could not explain why it at this time... Added to the to-do list.

Update:
This also affects non-minimized windows.
It seems that it affects the last window having focus before QPAmessenger triggers and calls QAP.
Did the following:
1. Have some program in focus (I tried 3-4 different ones)
2. ALT-TAB to the pwsh window (it has focus).
3. Trigger QAPmessenger and window in point 1 gets focus and the QAPmenu displays on top of that.
Note: This seems to not affect windows running in admin context. If the previous one with focus is running in admin context, the last window shown that runs in user context gets focus and the QAPmenu displays.

The minimized application is always started before the menu is shown.
It also happens if the default file manager is set to Windows Explorere. -

OK, got it! This bug was introduced in v11.5.8 when fixing a bug with the ShowMenuNavigate command in QAPmessenger.
This bug is activating the last focused window. This will be fixed in the next release. -
