  If I do that it will not add a trailing space but it forces me to use a Hotstring and I want to use a shortcut. If I leave the Hostring empty, it does not save the option.

  The hotstrings options are not saved if the hotstring trigger is left empty.
  
  The option "Omit the ending character when pasting snippets" has no effect when using a shortcut to paste a snippet. There is no "ending character" with shortcuts. Unless I do not get your point well.

  Repro steps.
  Add a Snippet with Content "Los Angeles"
  Add a Shortcut ctrl-l
  When you type crl-l "Los Angeles " will be inserted, note the extra trailing space (not desirable in a form)
  To disable this trailing space I can add a trigger and set some random string like "7sbt.2jET*t)3=fAWfC9>-wz"
  And check the "Omit the ending character when pasting snippets" option.
  1) Now when I type ctrl-l I get "Los Angeles" with no trailing space
  2) I will never type this crazy hostring so it will never insert "Los Angeles" like it would if I had set the hostring to let say "la" which would have unintended consequences if I was trying to type "La Verne" or "La Poste" for example.
  It would be simpler to have the  "Omit the ending character when pasting snippets"  available in the Change Shortcut dialogue.

  At first, I was not able to reproduce this with the trailing space. But after I used another snippet with an hotstring and ended it with a space (or any other ending character), this ending character was also added to the snipped pasted with the keyboard shortcut. It is also pasted if the snippet is inserted using the menu. This is a bug. There should be no ending character added when pasting a snippet with a shortcut. I will fix it.

  FYI, this issue has been solved in v11.2.0.3.
