  I attempted to access a Recent Folder showing at the top of the list and receive an error message that the favorite does not exist or is unavailable.
  
  I figured out that Quick Access Popup does not like a '&' in a folder name. See attached screenshots.

  I checked for folders with ampersands (&) in their name and, for me (using v9.5), they are properly displayed in dynamic menus (frequent, live folders). I'd like to see your example. Unfortunately, there seems to be a problem with attachments on the forum. Your screenshots are not visible. Could you try again or send it to me by email at Support@QuickAccessPopup.com please?

  Thanks for the screen captures. I found the reason why it worked for me and not for you. This is because you enabled the option "Display Numeric Shortcut". There is a bug in the ampersand handling when these numeric shortcuts are enabled. Added to my todo list.
